Cooper Bussmann Headquarters
M2 Architecture Studio renovated the 55,000 sf Cooper Bussmann Headquarters after a flood that was caused by a water line break had destroyed the existing office. M2 reinvented the space to address departmental adjacencies, traffic/work flow, information sharing, efficiency, future growth, and to foster a collaborative team environment.
The design included open spaces with logical transitions, and enclosed offices and conference rooms were moved to the interior space to liberate the exterior walls, and infuse the space with natural light. Solar tubes, skylights, and clerestory windows were also installed to further strengthen the connection to the outside. Cooper Lighting products were installed throughout the space, which created a “living showroom”. The project outcome was a durable, bright, cohesive, and inviting environment where employees can work, create, and connect.
